Submitted by: Jonas

A range of scientifically formulated natural health care products marketed under the BuchuLife label is now available in retail and wholesale stores nationwide.

Comprising one hundred percent pure Buchu oil extracted in an organic distillation process, the range consists of Sparkling Herbal Water, UTI Relief Capsules, Joint Health Capsules and First Aid Gel.

Big name retailers including Pick n Pay, Clicks, Checkers and Spar now offer BuchuLife products via their pharmacies. Totalsports, Sportsman Warehouse, Due South and Cycle Lab are prominent sports and cycling stores that have added BuchuLife products to their health and wellness portfolios.

The BuchuLife label has emerged as one of the strongest brands in South Africa, attracting renowned global brand ambassadors in the form of multiple grand slam tennis star Mats Wilander, cricket sensation Jacques Kallis and Billabong Pro Series winner Jordy Smith, amongst others.

Across the ocean in the USA, BuchuLife products have made significant inroads into the notoriously difficult natural health care sector regulated by the FDA.  There are countless health stores across the states that are proud stockists of the range.

BuchuLife features prominently on all the principle social networking sites including Facebook and YouTube. There are currently more than 3000 BuchuLife fans who have collectively registered their approval online.

According to Dr Patrick Bouic of the Synexa Life Sciences in the Western Cape, one of several prominent academics who have thrown their weight behind Buchu formulated products: “During my 30 years of experience studying the most potent herbal anti-inflammatories in the world, I've found none that compare to Buchu.”

Buchu is an indigenous herb that grows exclusively in a small section of the Cape Floral Kingdom of the Western Cape. Its natural healing powers have been well documented for hundreds of years. Early pastoralists and hunter gatherers identified the herb as an elixir to treat all ills long before the area was colonised by Dutch and later British settlers.

“Our scientifically formulated Buchu oil contains the potent antioxidants quercetin, rutin, hesperidin, diosmin (bioflavonoids), diosphenol and vitamins A, B and E.  Its three main uses are as a natural anti-inflammatory, an antiseptic and as a treatment of hypertension,” claimed a spokesperson for Cape Kingdom Nutraceuticals, the Cape Town based company that formulates the product range.
