Bottled water from your own taps

Submitted by: Renee Bentley

Global consumption of bottled water continues virtually unabated despite the bad publicity they receive as they mutate into plastic mountains at landfill sites.

In a step toward environmental responsibility, recycling programmes by water bottlers are slowly emerging which result in the repurposing of plastic bottles in a variety of applications including artificial grass and home décor.

Creating a win-win situation for water drinkers and the environment was the heart behind a newly launched whole house water filtration system that, simply put, turns your entire home into a purified water plant where you can fill your own bottles with filtered water.

Every tap and shower pours out water that is chlorine and contaminant free, yet retains the minerals you expect from good quality water. A tough and hygienic stainless steel housing promises a lifetime of service and, assures WaterMate spokesperson Renee Bentley, “All you have to do is make sure the cartridges are replaced every year to be set for a lifetime of healthy water”.
