Danie Botha, Head of Research & Insights at Retail Engage

Danie grew up in Alberton and still lives there with his wife and daughter. He enjoys online and radio control car racing, and even served as the Chairman of the South African Radio Drivers Association from 2010 to 2017.

Danie joined Retail Engage in December 2020 and brings with him a wealth of experience in business development and research. He previously held positions at BMi Research, Columinate & GfK South Africa, and has also served on the board of directors of the Brand Council of South Africa.

Danie has managed numerous accounts within all major industries and across all areas of research. Combining his expertise with his love for quantitative research, data analytics and insights, he prides himself on providing clients with holistic research solutions.

What he has learnt over the years is that to be successful in the research market, one needs to be agile, innovative and technology driven. His vision for his team at Retail Engage is to be the supplier of choice for actionable consumer and shopper insights into the South African main market.
