Jeep Team's Mikaela Jonsson Faces SA's Future Champions

This weekend (10 – 12 April), Jeep Team’s multisport star and 2020 Olympic hopeful,Mikaela Jonsson, who is studying Matric this year, will be up against the country’s future champions at the South African Sub-youth, Youth, Junior and U23 Track & Field Championships in Bloemfontein.

Jonsson heads into the championship in a strong position, having achieved exceptional results over the past few weeks. Last month she beat her personal best in the 800m while winning the Junior Women’s 800m at the Track & Field KZN Athletics Championships in Durban, and on the same weekend was crowned Junior Mudman Ladies Champion.

Obstacle Course Racing (OCR)

Jeep Team’s super-strong OCR athletes are set for an action-packed weekend, with Jay Jay Deysel and Dominique D'Oliveira in Cape Town for Race#2 of the Impi Challenge, which takes place from 11 – 12 April, while Thomas van Tonder and Claudia Richard take on The Beast Obstacle Course Race on Saturday at the picturesque Amanzingwe Lodge in Broederstroom, North West Province.

Claudia Ricahrd then heads to Johannesburg to take on Kinetic Gear’s 25-km Adventure Race on Sunday, 12 April.

Cycling

On Saturday, Jeep Team’s MTB athlete, Thinus Redelinghuys,will be competing in Event#3 of the USN MTB Cup series, which is a 50-km race taking place at the Avianto Sports Grounds in Gauteng.

On Sunday, Jeep Team’s youngest athlete, Alex Dolman (15), will be racing for valuable Gauteng club points at the Germiston BMX race meeting.
