My work comes from a place of love, light and beauty, a place where I can lose myself and set my soul free, a place where I don’t have to pretend, and a place where I can truly be me.My name is George Fivaz. I was born in Reitz, South Africa. My love for photography led me back to a little town called Nigel, where I’ve nestled with my wife, Sonja. We did not have the opportunity to have children, so we adopted 5 little Maltese poodles, a parrot and a snake. We are a busy bunch.I am a self trained photographer and I am hoping that my love for nature are reflected in my images. I believe the most important quality of a fine art photograph, is to evoke an emotional response. While everything in nature does this for me, selecting just the right places and moments to make a photograph that conveys those emotions is far more difficult.I have been tinkering with photography from a very young age. I remember the excitement of opening my prints, the joy when I could add another stunning picture to my “best photo’s” file and the many disappointments of over- and under exposed ones.In 2012 I finally made the decision to start building a fine art portfolio of images which includes collections of Flowers, Gates, Intimate, Landscapes, Let the sky fall, Nature, Pylons etc. My images are like me, always growing, expanding, alive. What I liked yesterday, might be gone today.All my images are available as fine art and canvas prints, and will grace any home, boardroom, business, hotel or lodge. All prints are printed on the finest quality Giclée and archival fine art paper and canvas.
