Put your best rap First to win R32 000 cash!

First Car Rental, one of South Africa’s leading car rental companies, is calling on all South Africans to unleash their inner hip-hop superstar by entering the company’s #FunFirstRap Sweet 16th Birthday Competition.
It doesn’t matter if you’ve never rapped before; this competition is about having fun. Remember – there’s a First time for everything.
There is a R32 000 BIG CASH prize up for grabs – R16 000 to the ‘best rap video’ and a R16 000 lucky draw prize for challenging friends.
Historically, Rap is a type of popular music of US black origin in which words are recited rapidly and rhythmically over an instrumental backing or no backing at all.
For years, the debate has ensued about what exactly the difference is between rap music and hip hop music. Hip-hop artists sing in upbeat tones that tell people to get off their seats and dance to the music. Their message is more of a positive, brighter future type of ballad.
Rap, on the other hand, is more concerned with what is going on in popular culture. Current rap stars like Eminem, 50 Cent, and Lil' Wayne frequently rap about issues.
Hip hop strives to push its listeners to look forward to a better tomorrow; rap music is all about "telling it like it is" in the here and now. Choose your style and let’s do this!
To enter your best rap video:
1. ‘Like’ First Car Rental’s Facebook page - @FirstCarRental
2. Film yourself (or get a friend to film you) rapping First Car Rental’s Sweet 16 birthday rap. (Videos must be filmed with a cellphone). To view the birthday rap, go to First Car Rental’s website and click on the ‘So you think you can Rap?’ banner - http://www.firstcarrental.co.za/.
3. Upload the video directly to your Facebook timeline, tagging with @FirstCarRental and #FirstRap, and making sure the upload privacy settings are set to “public” so that First Car Rental can find your entry. (YouTube videos will not be accepted.)
To enter the lucky draw:
1. ‘Like’ First Car Rental’s Facebook page - @FirstCarRental
2. Challenge your Facebook friends to post their First Car Rental Sweet 16 birthday rap video. In your post, make sure to tag @FirstCarRental and #FirstRap. For every person you nominate, you’ll gain one lucky draw entry – so challenge 10 friends and you’ll get 10 entries!
The competition runs from 15 April to 30 April 2015. Winners will be announced seven days after the closing date.
