NetMechanic, the South African web design and open source solution provider, is pleased to announce that Maties.com, one of their educational web developments, has won the MACE Award for best Website in a higher educational environment.
The MACE Excellence Awards honour excellence and achievements of university and FET practitioners in the marketing, communication and advancement space. The awards ceremony was held at the MACE Excellence Gala Dinner on 6 October 2011, recognising outstanding achievements in eight separate categories.
NetMechanic was approached by The Centre for Prospective Students (CPS) to develop the Maties.com website through the help of their customized content management system, NetToolbox. This system allowed for tablet and mobile viewing of the Maties.com site as well as features like newsletter manager and media manager. NetMechanic added strong social media capabilities to the site to encourage the use of Maties.com as a prime communicative tool for students.
