Once registered, users can blog as well as interact with other bloggers and members. The site also has many social networking features, such as groups and discussion forums that are available to registered members. Over 3000 South Africans search for the term "free blog" a month (according to Google search), and this new site hopes to give these users a blog in a South African community site.

"Yes - there are sites out there that offer this service, but there are not many quality sites that offer blogs to the South African market specifically" said Paul Muller, the head developer of the new site. The site will be available to the public as a beta release. All users are encouraged to submit feedback as well as any bugs they may encounter during this phase so as to give the future South African blogger exactly what they want from this sort of platform.
