South Africa’s biggest walking event, The Discovery 702 Walk The Talk is fast approaching. Started in 2000 as an initiative against the growing crime rate in our country, the walk has grown in numbers attracting an estimated 55 000 people in 2011. The walk is hosted by City of Johannesburg, owned by 702 and sponsored by Discovery, with sub sponsors like Hush Puppies and Pick n Pay.
Hush Puppies has joined the 702 Discovery Walk The Talk for the second year running as the event’s official footwear sponsor.
‘We are excited about this year’s event as we believe that our brand qualities tie in perfectly with the essence of Walk The Talk. We’ll also be showcasing our walking Body Shoe, latest summer 2012 styles, our corporate range as well as pre-launching our Vintage Campaign,’ said Liane Banks, Hush Puppies Marketing Manager
This year promises to be bigger and better with lots of entertainment and fun for the whole family and of course the ever so cute dogs.
Entries are now open and close 31 May. You can register online on www.walkthetalk.co.za or visit Hush Puppies South Africa Facebook page for more details and Walking Tips.
