takealot.com reveals what South Africans are buying on mobile

Moms have been crowned ‘the queens of mobile shopping’, with the top five items sold this month on takealot.com being baby products. South Africa’s fastest growing online retailer, takealot.com has revealed that nappies topped the mobile shopping list by far, with Pampers taking first place and Huggies a close second.

Securing ‘baby-changing items’ as the most popular category after nappies, the most bought item is wet wipes coming in at number three. 

In fourth place is Spectra breast milk storage bags, followed by the popular bath time toy, Yookido Flow ‘n Fill Spout.

The innovative etailer, is particularly impressed by how well sales, in general, have been progressing on their mobile site that re-launched in August. 

“It makes sense that moms, especially new moms, would be shopping on mobile.
